EPFO or the Employee Provident Fund Organization is bringing sweeping
changes in the way they handle provident fund accounts of over 5 crores
employees across India. Couple of months back they enabled online transfer of provident funds when an employee moves from one company to other which will brought down the transfer time from 30 days to just 3 days.
Now, EPFO has launched a facility that will allow employees to view updated accounts online on real time basis without waiting for their annual PF account slips. Till now, employees had to wait for a long time (generally they are given their PF account slips once in a year) to know the balance of their PF accounts.
